"... a wonderfully warm work of immense emotional sincerity interweaving two deeply-felt poems of lovers’ separations. Panufnik’s well-layered choral textures combined with adroit imagery from a tiny instrumental group to create a heart-stopping 10 minutes." So wrote Christopher Morely from the Birmingham Post, about "Since we Parted" commissioned and premiered beautifully by Jeffrey Skidmore CBE and Ex Cathedra on 31st January, 2015 - read more here.
Roxanna's next premiere is with Ex Cathedra on 31st January, 2015, at Birmingham's Town Hall (details and tickets: excathedra.co.uk/new-jerusalem/). "Since we Parted" is a hugely emotional work for choir and ensemble (starring the harp, of course!) about love between a couple separated by World War I. The concert will feature another world premiere with James MacMillan's "Seven Angels" - two premieres for the price of one!
